Although the Historic Site Preservation Board values your comments, pursuant to the Brown Act, it generally cannot take any action on items not listed on the posted agenda. There will be three (3) minutes assigned for each speaker. Testimony for Public Hearings will be taken at the time of the hearing. ELECTION OF OFFICERS: Chair and Vice Chair. Election of officers pursuant to PSMC 2.06.020. (Officer terms will be from this election through June 30, 2025.)   1.CONSENT CALENDAR: The following routine matters may be acted upon by one motion. Individual items may be removed by the Commission for separate discussion at this time.      A.APPROVAL OF MINUTES: JUNE 4, 2024 HSPB MEETING. RECOMMENDATION: Approve the Historic Site Preservation Board Minutes of June 4, 2024.   B.A REQUEST BY THE DURHAM FAMILY TRUST FOR APPROVAL OF A MAJOR ALTERATION TO A CLASS 3 SITE LOCATED AT 1077 NORTH ROSE AVENUE, AND ASSOCIATED REVIEW FOR POTENTIAL RE-DESIGNATION OF A CLASS 3 SITE TO A CLASS 1 OR 2 HISTORIC RESOURCE (APN #505-091-005), CASE HDEMO 2024-0009 (SY). RECOMMENDATION: Take no action, allow the processing of the major alteration, and determine pursuant to CEQA that this action is not a project   EXCLUDED CONSENT CALENDAR: Items removed from the Consent Calendar for separate discussion are considered at this time.   2.PUBLIC HEARINGS:     Historic Site Preservation Board Agenda July 2, 2024 City of Palm Springs A.APPLICATION BY THE CITY OF PALM SPRINGS FOR HISTORIC SITE DESIGNATION OF “THE GAS COMPANY BUILDING” LOCATED AT 211 NORTH SUNRISE WAY, (APN 508-070-016) CASE HSPB #158 (SY). RECOMMENDATION: Open the public hearing and take testimony. 1. Close the public hearing and adopt Resolution HSPB #158 “A RESOLUTION OF THE HISTORIC SITE PRESERVATION BOARD OF THE CITY OF PALM SPRINGS, CALIFORNIA, RECOMMENDING THAT THE CITY COUNCIL DESIGNATE “THE GAS COMPANY BUILDING” AS A CLASS 1 HISTORIC SITE, HSPB #158, SUBJECT TO CONDITIONS (APN #508-070-016), AND A DETERMINATION PURSUANT TO CEQA THAT THIS ACTION IS NOT A PROJECT.” 2.   3.UNFINISHED BUSINESS: None.     4.NEW BUSINESS:     A.APPLICATION BY PALM SPRINGS PRIDE FOR A CERTIFICATE OF APPRORIATENESS - MINOR TO INSTALL THE “PRIDE MONUMENT” AT THE FRANCIS STEVENS PARK, A CLASS 1 SITE, LOCATED AT 538 NORTH PALM CANYON DRIVE (APN #505-325-003), HSPB #7 / CASE CAMI 2024-0005 (SY). RECOMMENDATION: Approve the Certificate of Appropriateness and determine pursuant to CEQA Section 15331 that this action is exempt.   B.APPLICATION BY SMOKE TREE, INC FOR APPROVAL TO DEMOLISH A CLASS 4 SITE LOCATED AT 1801 EAST PALM CANYON DRIVE AND ASSOCIATED REVIEW FOR POTENTIAL RE-DESIGNATION OF A CLASS 4 SITE TO A CLASS 1 OR 2 HISTORIC RESOURCE (APN 510-020-049), CASE HDEMO 2024-0011 (SY).
