Lamb id# 16014 08/08/2019 SUPPLEMENTAL TO : CRIME REPORT (CONT.) : SUPPLEMENTAL REPORT DR NO. 1908P-1476 SUPPLEMENTAL OFFICER STATEMENT: On August 8, 2019, at approximately 1700 hours, I responded to the 500 block of South Palm Canyon Drive, in the City of Palm Springs, in the County of Riverside, to assist with an investigation regarding an Officer Involved shooting that had just occurred. I arrived on scene and parked my unit along the east curb of South Palm Canyon Drive just north of the crime scene which had been cordoned off with yellow crime scene tape. I entered the crime scene and signed the crime scene log that was in the possession of Officer Jiles. I contacted Sergeant Stjerne and asked what additional investigation was needed. Sergeant Stjerne prompted me to inquire about surveillance cameras located on the exterior building of Bank of America (588 South Palm Canyon Drive). I walked over to the Bank of America and saw exterior cameras on the northwest corner of the building. Based on the positioning of the cameras, I did not believe they captured the Officer involved shooting as the line of sight from the cameras to the area of the incident was blocked by the west exterior wall of Bank of America. Nonetheless, I entered Bank of America and contacted the manager. I asked if he could provide information regarding the surveillance cameras on the exterior of the building. The manager stated all surveillance footage was digital and he, nor any employee in the business, had access to the cameras. I attempted to contact via phone but was forwarded to his voicemail. I left a message with my contact information and terminated the call. Once I determined no further assistance was needed in the investigation, I left the crime scene.
