OFFICER STATEMENT: I responded from the Palm Springs Police Department to the area of S. Palm Canyon Drive and Camino Parocela in an unmarked police vehicle with lights and siren. On arrival, I parked my vehicle along the east curbline of S. Palm Canyon Drive north of Camino Parocela. Hearing over the radio that the situation had been made safe, I began to contact bystanders in the area to determine if they had witnessed the incident. While approaching the Sun Center, located at 611 S. Palm Canyon Drive, Det. Steve Grissom requested my digital audio recorder so he could interview a witness. I gave him my audio recorder and continued to contact the following people at the Sun Center: STATEMENT OF was identified and advised he was the which is located on the second floor of the Sun Center's south side. said he was inside when informed him that police were arriving outside said he only heard the sound of sirensi but did not see anything.
