Juarez #3636)was contacted by Sgt. 24 Thurm who advised me an officer involved shooting (OIS)had taken place at the Aqua Caliente 25 Casino parking structure located in the City of Palm Springs. Sgt. Thurm advised the Central 26 Homicide Unit would be working in association with the Riverside County District Attomey's 27 Office and the Palm Springs Police Department though the duration of the investigation. Sgt. 28 Thrum requested I respond to the scene to assist with the investigation. 29 30 Upon my arrival to the location, I was assigned to process the crime scene involved with the officer 31 involved shooting. During the case briefing I was told two suspects, Lemuel Kinney and Jaquan 32 Love had committed a robbery prior to being contacted by law enforcement and the officer 33 involved shooting taking place. During the robbery Kinney and Love were driving in a cold plated 34 white Honda Accord depicting a California license plate of . A record check of the 35 vehicle plate showed the license plate on the Honda Accord belonged to a Chevy sedan.Upon 36 processing the vehicle at the crime scene, I located the true vehicle license plate inside the white 37 Honda Accord door panel pocket. The true vehicle license plate for the Honda was .A 38 record check of the Honda Accord showed the registered owner of the vehicle was 39 40 41 On October 28, 2020, at about 1800 hours,Investigator Hernandez and I went to 42 , in an attempt to speak to about her vehicle 43 being used in a robbery. Upon our arrival to the residence was not home. I told the neighbor to relay to that I was looking to see if she knew where her vehicle was or if it had been stolen. The neighbor relayed to me that stated she had not reported her vehicle stolen. My phone number was provided to and she advised she would call me later. As of November 17,2020,has not contacted me about her vehicle.Through the investigation,it wasdiscovered is the girlfriendof suspectLemuelKinney.
