The City Council meeting begins at 5:30 p.m., in the Council Chamber at City Hall, 3200 East Tahquitz Canyon Way, Palm Springs. Pursuant to Assembly Bill 361, this meeting may be conducted by teleconference. The purpose of this hearing is to consider an owner -initiated application for historic site designation of the Koerner Residence, located at 1275 South Calle De Maria. The Historic Site Preservation Board reviewed the application at a noticed public hearing on September 5, 2023 and voted unanimously to recommend Class 1 (Landmark) historic designation of the property. ENVIRONMENTAL DETERMINATION: The proposed historic site designation is not subject to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to Sections 15060(C)(2) (the activity will not result in a direct or reasonably foreseeable indirect physical change in the environment) and 15060(C)(3) (the activity is not a project as defined in Section 15378) of the CEQA Guidelines, California Code of Regulations, Title 14, Chapter 3, because it has no potential for resulting in physical changes to the environment, directly or indirectly.
