It appears that certain City Council members are willing to dismantle long established American values with radical politically driven motivates such as pretext allegations of establishing policys while Impedimenting other criteria to gain political favor. Please consider that two City Council members (Middleton and Holstege) are attempting to seek higher political State positions. Actions such as appeasing political parties with proposed "targeted" political topics are disingenuous and extremely harmful to our region (Coachella Valley, Riverside County California) Private sector (non-governmental) "flags" do not represent the whole of America and or our State of California and shouldn't be displayed on external Public facilities (City Buildings). The City Council has taken steps to disenfranchised City Residents by Implementing aspects that Citizens have NO authority to recommend "Other flags" to be displayed on City Flag poles. It's clear that this action to established "flag" policy has underlining motives that don't Include the majority of taxpayers in this region. Known "Flags" such as the "POW/MIA flag are embedded into any Citizen that served our Nation or family/friends that felt the pain of love ones that sacrificed everything for our Country. It's reasonable to consider that Palm Springs City Council members are only political puppets at the whims of their political parties and special Interests. It's highly recommended that this City Council (Palm Springs, California) Bans All Non- 10/26/2023 Public Comment Item 1J governmental Flags on City properties.
