Permits will not be issued until the Building Department has received recommendation for approval from certain other departments. Where the department is a part of the City of Palm Springs, the plans have been routed to them for their review and approval. The Health Department, however, is a part of the County of Riverside, and you submit to them directly. In the following list, the departments adjacent to the checked boxes have not given their approvals. (Phone numbers are provided for your convenience.) The City has contracted with EsGil Corporation to perform the review of this project. They do not, however, review plans for Zoning Ordinance and/or Municipal Code requirements. Therefore the following comments shall be considered to be in addition to the comments made by them. If you should have any questions regarding this, please do not hesitate to contact this office. 3. Please add the following note to the cover sheet of the plans: “Projects for newly constructed buildings and additions permitted after June 8, 2016 shall be required to have a licensed engineer of surveyor stake the property corners of the subject lot. At the time of the underground plumbing inspection, and prior to calling for any footing inspections for these projects, the contractor shall provide string lines along the property lines adjacent to the proposed wall lines of the newly constructed building(s).” 4. Effective April 1, 2015 and pursuant to Section 19827.5, Health and Safety Code, a permit that includes the demolition of structural elements shall not be issued except upon the receipt from the permit applicant of a copy of each written asbestos notification regarding the building that has been required to be submitted to the United States Environmental Protection Agency, or to a designated stared agency (SCAQMD). The permit may be issued without the applicant submitting a copy of the written notification if the applicant declares that the notification is not applicable to the scheduled project. (See the attached document.) 5. Please show the relative elevations of finish floor and top-of-curb (or crown-of-street if there are no curbs) at the property corners. Lots that front on more than one street require more points to establish an average. In these cases, two points on each street frontage shall be provided for review. 6. Show that the proposed building complies with the city zoning ordinance with respect to maximum allowable heights. END OF DOCUMENT
