ProgramOverview
Since its inception in 1992, the Walk of the Stars has become a treasured attraction in Palm
Springs, California. Over 460 stars have been inducted to honor notable individuals from
diverse fields, including entertainment, humanitarianism, civic leadership, architecture, art,
literature, and sports. The stars are placed throughout the Downtown, Uptown, and other
central areas of Palm Springs, attracting both locals and tourists. Visitors can stroll along
the Walk of the Stars to see their favorite stars, creating a unique experience that
showcases the city's history and culture. The program has been successful in fostering
tourism and remains an essential component of Palm Springs' identity, continually
expanding to recognize new honorees.
