BY: Teresa Gallavan, Assistant City Manager
SUMMARY:
The Memorandum of Understanding between the Plaza Theatre Foundation and City of

naming rights for fundraising to restore the historic Plaza Theatre.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends Council approve the naming rights proposed on Attachment A.
BACKGROUND:

was amended on June 30, 2022.
Per the MOU, the Foundation will be better able to support the renovation, continued
operation and long-term maintenance of the Plaza Theatre if it is able to raise funds
through the issuance of naming rights for the Plaza Theatre and its component parts,
such as the lobby, the seats, stage, and entry patio. Naming rights on opportunities valued
at more than $100,000 shall require specific approval by the City Council.
