Start spending money on actual patrols and enforcement of existing laws. If I personally can see red light / stop sign runners and speeders EVERY time I drive in Palm Springs, why can’t the police see them? And cite the dangerous offenders? The people who are already obeying our traffic laws are just further inconvenienced by these supposed “calming” strategies. While the reckless drivers simply continue to ignore them. And often become even more dangerous as they speed through the new more narrow traffic lanes, even closer to pedestrians standing on the intersection bump-outs. How about changing speed limits to 35mph on main roads and 25mph on residential streets? And then actually ENFORCE those? It is shocking to see 40, 45 and 50 mph legal speed limits in this area! Because people who are then frequently driving 50, 55 and 60 mph on those roads! Tickets!! Thank you, City of Palm Springs This is an automated message generated by Granicus.
