Please rescind the morning reservations requirement at the Palm Springs Swim Center. The pool should be open
from 7 am-3 pm for EVERYONE with no reservation as it was before the pandemic. Reservations were mandated at
that time, allowing people to swim at 45 minute intervals. Yvonne Wise has opted to keep reservations in place due
to a survey conducted on Parks/Rec’s website. Results stated people want reservations but with this policy,
reservations must be made the day before with most days all reservations are taken by 6 am. Also the pool also has
a high “NO SHOW” rate. This policy discriminates against me and others who work and want a morning swim but
don’t have time to adhere to this DAILY requirement. It’s too much effort! This PUBLIC pool is for EVERYONE and not
for a select few who don’t want to share a swim lane. My property taxes support this pool and it’s time it’s opened
AGAIN for ALL people without ANY reservation requirement during normal operating hours.
Thank you,
City of Palm Springs

Good morning,
Last evening as Joaquin and I were crossing from the Museum parking ramp in the crosswalk, we were nearly hit by a car that did not slow down as it came around the corner from the North side of the
ramp.
Moments later, another car swerved and pulled over to avoid hitting the people behind us. Once stopped the pedestrians were screaming at the driver.
Not a great start what would be a wonderful evening at the Museum.
I would recommend flashing lights embedded in the road, increasing the overall lighting, adding bold painted crosswalk stripes, and evaluate which crosswalks in front of the museum should have flashing
lights controlled by pushing a button.
Thank you for your attention to this critical safety issue.

Good Evening,
I have concerns of a fire hazard at Mesquite Country Club that Oswit Land Trust
has recently purchased. They are leaving the dry, brittle brush laying throughout
the course creating fuel if a fire came through. If that’s not enough it’s a complete
eyesore to our beautiful City of Palm Springs. What can be done to enforce their
responsibilities? They also are dumping piles of concrete on the west side of
Farrell. Please help.
Sincerely,
Martha Glubka Sent from my iPhone
