Dear Board members,
I ask the City of Palm Springs to leave Frank Bogert alone and maintain the Frank Bogert

Can the City Council look into passing an ordinance mandating that businesses install locking mechnanisms on their
shopping carts. Since the City is allegedly "flush" with money, pehaps it can use City funds to subsidize businesses
purchasing and installing such locking devices. I came across nine abandoned shopping carts when playing golf the
other day at the Tahquitz Resort Golf Course the other day. These abandoned shopping carts are an eyesore and
contribute to the blight in the City of Palm Springs. When I was shopping at a Target in the City of Manhattan Beach,
their carts had such locking devices that prevent the cart from being removed from the parking lot. They work very
well.
Thank you,
City of Palm Springs
