I am a current resident/owner at 457 N Juanita Dr, near the above vacant lot and am in full support of the zoning
change to “Residential”. The potential for new single family homes would be a very welcome addition to the
Sunmor neighborhood and would eliminate the current eyesore.

Hello Palm Springs City Clerk,
I’m writing to express public comment on item 2A for tonight’s city council meeting. We live
on Juanita, at 669 N Juanita Dr, within the same block as the proposal to change the
designation of land at 2700 EAST ALEJO ROAD, from Industrial M-1-P to Single Family
Residential R-1-C.
We are in full favor of this change, and ask that City Council please vote in favor of case
5.1521 CZ & GPA, plus TTM 38049.
This parcel of land has been a problem for over 10 years with homelessness encampments,
dumping of garbage, palm tree fires, and even a small meth lab which the PD shut down. We
welcome the change to residential homes.

I feel that it would be beneficial for the neighborhood and fully support the change to residentialhome zoning.

Hello, Council members, and thank you so much for your work on
behalf of the City and its residents (emphasis on its residents).
Please, please, please: on behalf of the residents of Palm Springs-
-and those who work in Palm Springs but cannot afford to live
here--take some meaningful action to meaningfully limit the
density and number of STRs in our residential neighborhoods. At a
bare minimum there must be a way to curtail, if not eliminate, the
corporate owners of multiple STR properties, who have no
concern for the long-term impact of their anonymous weekly-
turnover party houses on the quality of life of our residents.
The current, totally bananas real estate market makes it hard
enough for singles and families to afford a home or apartment in
Palm Springs; but when you also factor in hundreds and hundreds
of STRs and the properties they off the market, the cost of
housing in PS is nothing short of an emergency.
Again, please, please, please, do something.

P.S. As for those Council members who have taken the position
that property owners have a right to do what they please with
their property (you know who you are), that's bulldookie and you
know it. Maybe I should start burning tires in my back yard and
see how that goes.
