March 10, 2022 City of Palm Springs City Council Chamber's 3200 E. Tahquitz Canyon Way Palm Springs, CA. 92262 (760)323-8204 Attn: Clerk of the Board Re: Written letter to be entered in the Public record and made available to the general public for the scheduled City of Palm Springs Council meeting (required remotely performed meeting) - March 10, 2022 at 5:30PM - Agenda Item: 1-A (continuous implementation to avoid Public venues - A13361) (Submitted in accordance with California's A13361) Dear elected Officials, The actions of suspending/eliminating Californias Brown Act safeguards have increased the risks of abuse from City officials, and may allow for corruption to be unchecked by the Public that may monitor and or participate in the Peoples business. This City referred to aspects of removing the long established safeguards of Californias Brown Act as them being "Relaxed" - please consider that California's Brown Act requirements were implemented for the protection of Californians from the misdeeds of it's governing bodies. The City of Palm Springs have repeatedly demonstrated that City and private sector bussinesses have been attended In -person by certain City Council members/Commissioner's and City administrators without noticeable fear of disease being transferred by not abiding by an undetermined legally binding distance from each person (Social Distancing) as illustrated by California's A13361. Also the City has many different venues that could be used for City business (Public meetings) that would be accepted as "safe" to conduct the Peoples business In -person. The back -dating of resolutions and other illegal activities of not abiding by California's AB361 have only illustrated that this City and many other California govermental agencies will continue to defraud the great People of California until they can't any longer. Please consider the People that you claim to represent over this Council's own self -interests of convenience or other radical political goals. Sincerely, 3/10/2022 Public Comment Item 1 A Brad Anderson I Rancho Mirage, CA. Cc. 3/10/2022 Public Comment Item 1 A
