SCHEIBNER REVOCABLE TRUST IN THE AMOUNT OF $25,000 FOR PALM SPRINGS PUBLIC LIBRARY TRUST FUND FROM: Justin Clifton, City Manager BY: Library SUMMARY: Staff recommends the City Council accept a donation to the Palm Springs Public Library Trust Fund in the amount of $25,000 from the Paul E. Scheibner and Irene M. Scheibner Revocable Trust. RECOMMENDATION: 1.Approve the acceptance of a donation award from the Paul E. Scheibner and Irene M. Scheibner Revocable Trust in the amount of $25,000. 2.Authorize the City Manager to execute all necessary documents. STAFF ANALYSIS: The Palm Springs Public Library has received notification that the Library is a beneficiary of the Paul E. Scheibner and Irene M. Scheibner Revocable Trust. At the passing of both parties, the terms of the trust have gone into effect. The gift to the Palm Springs Public Library Trust Fund is $25,000. There are no stipulations or terms of the gift, except that the funds be given to the Palm Springs Public Library. At their January 5, 2022 meeting, the Library Board of Trustees unanimously accepted the gift. FISCAL IMPACT: These monies will be deposited into the Library Trust Fund to be used for Future Library Projects. There will be no impact to the General Fund and no matching funds are required to accept this donation.
