HomeMy WebLinkAbout24775RESOLUTION NO. 24775 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALM SPRINGS, CALIFORNIA, ADOPTING A REVISED ALLOCATED POSITIONS AND COMPENSATION PLAN FOR FISCAL YEAR 2020- 2021 ADOPTED BY RESOLUTION 24635; AND ADOPTING THE PUBLICLY AVAILABLE PAY SCHEDULES. WHEREAS, an Allocated Positions and Compensation Plan was adopted on June 19, 2019 for Fiscal Year 2019-2020 and Fiscal Year 2020-2021 by Resolution No. 24635 consistent with the provisions of the biennial Fiscal Year 2019 — 2021 budget; and WHEREAS, the City Council desires to adopt a revised Allocated Positions and Compensation Plan for Fiscal Year 2020-2021 consistent with the provisions of the revised Fiscal Year 2020-2021 budget. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALM SPRINGS DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. The Allocated Positions and Compensation Plan attached to this resolution as Exhibit "A", is hereby adopted and shall become effective on July 1, 2020. For the purpose of this Resolution, the Allocated Positions and Compensation Plan shall be deemed to include the provisions of any applicable Memorandum of Understanding, contract, ordinance, rule, or past practice that applies to any person holding an allocated position. SECTION 2. The City Manager is authorized to modify the Allocated Positions and Compensation Plan during the fiscal year 2020-2021 for modifications the City Manager determines are reasonably necessary or appropriate for business necessity including, without limitation, the implementation of; provisions for any approved Memorandum of Understanding, use of over -hires for training or vacancies, modification due to any changes in federal or state laws, titles and responsibility changes, changes related to non -represented employees, and personnel rules, regulations or procedures in so far'as such modifications do not exceed the adopted Fiscal Year 2020-2021 budget. SECTION 3. The Salary and Classification Schedules for Fiscal Year 2020- 2021 to be effective on July 1, 2020, attached hereto as Exhibit "B" and incorporated herein by this reference, are hereby approved.
