D. Public Comments
Howard Lapham, complimented Mayor on State of City speech; encouraged public to watch
rerun on Channel 17.
Wendie Busig-Kohn, read prepared statement, copy attached.
Jimmy Greenspoon, submitted authored book regarding the use of drugs and stated he would
help any that needed assistance in spreading the word on the detriment of using drugs.
Fred Ebeling, Tuscan Road, stated that he is being harassed by Code Enforcement regarding
his RV and stated that enforcement should not be selective.
E. Council Comments
Reller-Spurgin: Good presentation by Mayor at State of the City speech.
Oden: Valley Promise ready to start; Maurice Call, HRC Commissioner died.
Jones: Attended Tour de Palm Springs; walked DT with Excell Inc., attended Desert AIDS
walk, Lincoln Club; went on lighting trip.
Mayor: Several deaths in City, Maurice Call, HRC; Elmer O’Dell, Police ID Tech; Frank
Coffee, citizen; State of City quality of life at a all time high; reviewed goals of RCTC on
funding of various project in PS.
F. City Manager Comments
RCTC Tac Chair appointment-Bob Mohler; Tom Kanarr one of 72 in State designated
Certified Treasurer.
G. STUDY SESSION

Parks and Recreation Manager reviewed handout, copy attached. Item continued to 2-16-00
Council meeting.
