Test results from May 17 / 18 showed continued decrease in COVIDvirus in the wastewater consistent with test results of May 10/11Tuesday, May 18, 2021 = 9,131 (140 cases)Monday, May 17, 2021 = 3,209 (* cases) Not quantifiableAs compared to week prior of:Tuesday, May 11, 2021 = 13,964 (156 cases)Monday, May 10, 2021 = 5,743 (9 cases)
We are testing for presence of 2 mutations found in UK Variant, with these mutations also in other hyper‐transmissible Variants.Samples from May 17 showed low levels of the mutations consistent with UK Variant, but no othersSamples from May 18 showed no detection of any mutations

The presence of COVID mutations is decreasing to levels nearly undetectable, with only UK Variant at low levels present on May 17.It is important to remain vigilant and continue to use face masks when required, maintain social distancing and other measures to prevent the spread of COVID EVEN AS WE REOPEN OUR ECONOMY AND GET VACCINATED.
