Mejia, MMC, City Clerk 3200 E Tahquitz Canyon Way Palm Springs, CA 92263 Re: 1274 South Calle Marcus, Palm Springs, CA - Dispute of Delinquent Payment Notice, Palm Springs Disposal Services ("PSDS"); County Assessment #5084120103 To Whom It May Concern: This letter is intended to dispute the PSDS Delinquent Payment Notice dated as of April 1, 2021 in connection with alleged outstanding charges in the amount of $332.89 for the service address of 1274 South Calle Marcus, Palm Springs, CA (the "Property") under Account #1-68115-2. I am disputing the outstanding charges due to PSDS for the following reasons. First, I am the owner of the Property; however, I do not reside at the Property and I have not visited the Property for over twelve (12) months. Second, I have filed an Exemption Renewal Affidavit in 2021 confirming that I am the owner of the Property and that the Property has been uninhabited for the past twelve (12) months. Given that I have not been residing at the Property for more than twelve (12) months (nor have I visited the Property during this time due to COVID), I have not placed any waste material in front of the Property for pick-up, nor given anyone my authorization to place any refuse at the Property for collection by PSDS. Third, if any waste material or refuse has been placed in 5/d'1/2o,., ~ "yv\BUC, ldlf1·/'YTW . ffBMNO. ___ _ . . . front of the Property for pickup by PSDS, it was done so without my knowledge and most definitely without my authorization. As mentioned above, I have not visited Palm Springs in over a year, and I have not permitted anyone to stay at the Property since the date of my last visit in February 2019. Therefore, to my knowledge, no refuse is generated at the Property and the services of PSDS are not needed at this time. Accordingly, for the reasons stated above, I respectfully request for you to review my account and dismiss any the delinquent charges. Additionally, if PSDS is continuing to service the Property despite the Exemption Renewal Affidavit, we ask that all services provided by PSDS are discontinued immediately in order to avoid any future charges.
