Live entertainment
Short and sweet, live entertainment permits should be limited to businesses that had entertainment permits before
3/1/20. We are not out of the pandemic yet and overcrowding is dangerous. No live entertainment should be in a
parklet on a city street. El Patron's crowd on the public sidewalk while they had a DJ on a public street was a bad idea.
Please limit live entertainment permits to businesses holding permits pre-covid until the Governor lifts state orders in
June.
Thank you

City Council Meeting Item 5.C.-Temporary Outdoor Music Permits -Comments
City Council April 22, 2021 Hearing
Item 5.C. -Temporary Outdoor Music Permits
Dear City Council:
Joan Forrer and I support ending the temporary outdoor entertainment program.
As the Staff Report notes:
"With Riverside County having been downgraded to Red Tier status on March 16, 2021
(and later downgraded to Orange Tier on April 7th), indoor entertainment is now
permissible and the need for the temporary outdoor entertainment LUP's has
diminished.
In addition, Governor Newsom has announced that all COVID restrictions may be
discontinued as soon June 15, 2021. While the temporary permits for outdoor dining
may
be continued by the City for the foreseeable future, consideration may be given to
ending
the temporary outdoor entertainment program." [emphasis added to original.]
Thank you,
Mike Guerra
